Bayfirth Research is currently undertaking research for the R&A to investigate the increase in golf participation during the covid-19 pandemic.
Working in partnership with Sports Marketing Surveys, our qualitative research aims to understand the motivations, life circumstances and changed behaviours of new and returning golfers. The research also aims to understand how new and returning gofers experience golf clubs and what clubs can do to sustain participation and membership.
Preliminary findings from the first phase of the research were announced by the R&A in May 2021.
